There are many reasons, but if your article has been declined then here are the Top 10 reasons why articles are declined on FiveStarArticles.com:

- Title Not Formatted Correctly. We DO NOT like people writing titles in capitals, nor do we like sloppy punctuation. Every Word In A Title Must Begin With A Capital Letter!
- Incorrect Paragraphing. No one bothers to read huge pages of text with no breaks. Paragraphs should always be separated with a single blank line between them.
- Hyperlinks. We allow you to include a couple of hyperlinks in your author's resource box, but NOWHERE ELSE. Putting links in your article, title or summary will automatically cause your article to be declined without it even being read.
- HTML Code. Inserting any HTML code other than for your author's resource links is not permitted. Including fancy text effects, images and such like is not allowed.
- Long Summary. A summary should be brief. One or two short sentences at most. Anything longer, and certainly anything more than a paragraph will not pass.
- Article Spinners. There's nothing wrong with using article spinners - they can be great ways of exploring a good writer's options. But using them in a lazy way without proof-reading generally results in a heap of garbled nonsense, or at best, text that sounds extremely odd and stilted. If we suspect an article spinner has been used, your article will be rejected.
- Short/Long Titles. A title should be long enough to indicate what the article is about, but short enough to be snappy. Anything too short or too long will be rejected.
- Article Too Short. This is an article directory, not a paragraph directory! If your article is under 500 words it may well be declined.
- Press releases/Adverts. Again, this is an article directory, not a press release or advert repository. Anything that looks like a press release or a blatant advert will not be accepted.
- Poor Use Of English. Poor grammar, sloppy syntax, lazy punctuation, appalling spelling - generally anything less than 'very good English' will be declined.
